Southwest Scorpions 13U Select Capture Championship on Home Turf, News (Southwest London Baseball)

The tournament featured strong competition from across the province, but the Scorpions rose to the challenge with an undefeated run. They stormed through the round-robin stage, outscoring opponents 37–14 with dominant pitching, clean defense, and a relentless offensive attack.

Their playoff path featured two marquee matchups against familiar LDBA rivals. In the semifinals, the Scorpions dominated the Strathroy Royals with a commanding 16–4 win, setting the tone with explosive offense and shutdown pitching.

The finals brought a dramatic showdown with the North London Nationals. In a back-and-forth battle filled with momentum swings and high-pressure moments, the Scorpions edged out a thrilling 7–6 victory. The game came down to the final inning, with clutch defense and composed pitching sealing the win and the championship.

"Our guys came to play," said Head Coach Doug Roswell. "From the first pitch to the last out, they showed what it means to be a team. They supported each other, executed under pressure, and played with heart. To win it here, at home, makes it even more special—especially against such strong LDBA competition."
