Co-Ed 9U (Rookie Ball)
Birth Years: 2016 and 2017.
Rookie Ball is the introductory level where players experience pitched balls from a velocity-controlled pitching machine. The focus is on developing skills such as throwing, fielding, catching, and hitting, along with understanding position play, baseball strategy, teamwork, and most importantly, having fun. Games will be played on Monday or Wednesday, and practices will be held on Saturday at Southwest Optimist Park.
A jersey, baseball cap, pants, belt, socks and a season-end wrap up party are provided. Players must bring their own glove and it is strongly recommended that players provide their own helmet.
