Umpires (Southwest London Baseball)

Are you interested in becoming an umpire for the upcoming baseball season? Boys and girls of any age can learn how to umpire. It’s a great way to get outside and enjoy the game of baseball.  Oh, and did we mention make a little money at the same time?

If considering becoming an umpire, here is what you need to do:

In the February\March timeframe visit the Baseball Ontario Website and browse the umpire menu. Information about clinics to attend and certification to acquire will be posted here.  These clinics will be added over time and will include a handful in the London area.

Once you have acquired your certification, our Umpire in Chief John Lethbridge takes over from there. Southwest Optimist baseball will offer an on field extra training day, where umpires can get to know him and the senior umpires. They will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn a little more at a relaxed pace.

Once that is complete John will schedule games for the summer. Games for Southwest London Baseball take place at the Westmount and Lambeth area diamonds.
